Who we are
Since 2001, LNVH has worked towards an academia where diversity is recognised as a prerequisite for excellent science. Our network of almost 1,900 women professors and associate professors, from all disciplines and at all Dutch universities, university medical centres and research institutes, advocates for proportional representation, better career progression and equal pay. Together, we are building an inclusive, safe and just academic community.

The network
LNVH is, above all, a network: almost 1,900 women professors and associate professors working together across all disciplines and institutions. Together with the LNVH board & bureau, the network works towards an academic world in which women are proportionally represented at every rank and in every role, in a culture that values inclusion, equality and talent, and where women can fully participate, realise their potential and contribute to diverse, excellent science.
Research and knowledge production
Through research and data, we map the position of women in Dutch academia and share what we learn with the people who can act on it.
Policy influence
As a critical ally, LNVH brings governance, HR, and the work floor together, helping institutions turn gender equality into workable, lasting policy.
Community building
A growing community of women professors and associate professors powers LNVH. Their voices and experience guide our policy, research, and support for one another.
Support in career
From a first international research stay to a nomination for a top prize: LNVH backs women scientists at each step. We offer grants, mentoring, and nominations that put excellence in the spotlight.
